[Bug 315893] Re: Elisa shows a black screen when 3D effects are activated 3d black compiz elisa screen

2010-01-08 Thread Olivier Tilloy
Elisa is not maintained any longer, so in any case Moovida should be tested. Karmic ships Moovida 1.0.7, and 1.0.9 is available in this PPA: https://launchpad.net/~moovida-packagers/+archive/ppa. -- Elisa shows a black screen when 3D effects are activated 3d black compiz elisa screen https://bug

2009-12-07 Thread Olivier Tilloy
It looks like a dependency problem in the package. Probably an early packaging issue fixed since then (python-moovida 1.0.7-1ubuntu1 in karmic does depend on python-twisted-web, see http://packages.ubuntu.com/karmic/python-moovida). -- moovida crashed with ImportError in () https://bugs.launchpad

IMHO coherence should be a strong dependency of the package (moovida-plugins-bad). This is the case in our custom packages built in the Moovida packagers team's PPA (https://launchpad.net/~moovida-packagers/+archive/ppa). In this PPA, python-twisted is also a strong dependency of moovida-plugins

Thanks for the report Sam. Can you give us more details on your media files (those that appear on the screenshot for example)? - full filepaths - do they contain tags such as track number? Moovida's database file may also help, if you can attach it here. You'll find it in ~/.moovida/moovida.db.

Luka, I don't really see the point of conditional compilation in that case. As commented earlier, no rdepends make use of this thumbnailing code. Moreover, pyexiv2 being a python module, no compilation process is involved for rdepends, so as long as the API doesn't change, clients don't care about
