This is because an entry is set in the session manager. To stop it

Chris, I'm glad you have fixed this bug in the way you describe. I
think the suggested behaviour of Paul Sladen would be surprising to most

Well done Luka, that does appear to make the bug 100% reproducible. I
was beginning to think I was the only one with this problem.
However, there must be some other cause than just "su $USER" as I do not
believe I have done that at all recently and I see the bug most days (I

With this problem, you get no fonts displayed at all. The work about
the bug 334657 was to use "Best Shape" font rendering rather than
"Subpixel...". I've just tried that and it make no difference. Thanks
for the suggestion though.

Just an observation; many other programs already use gksu to get root

interface experience across all these tools and save some disk space and

The suggest fixed version (1.0.3-7ubuntu2) is still not working. I hope
putting this back to confirmed is the correct thing to do. Also the
package app-install-data installs a similarly broken .desktop file into

No the command output looks good. I have applied all the updates to my
X31 laptop too and it is still broken. Although I can't see any fonts,
if I guess where I'm going I can select "watch tv".

No, it has NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS. As I was runing that machine from
the live CD I was using the default driver not the restricted one.

tcsh/csh have their own nice command build into the shell which take different
