By the way, I can't currently see any way of finding out why the program
crashes (I can't see any way of making it generate a report); if someone
can give me a hint I'll be more than happy to set it up so I can attach

gnome-gmail-notifier crashes
Sorry, it seems that the major part of the problem I reported was
actually a caching bug in my book reader, NOT a problem with ebook-
convert at all: in particular, I think that in fact all the command-line
flags ARE being respected.

Why no progress on this bug? Over a year later, I tried using gmail-
notify and had exactly the same problem. Changing to sensible-browser
requires no programming, and if not ideal would at least fix the problem
for most users.

Nope, the bug is still there. Specifically, the crash occurs if I create
a new label (e.g. by making a label from a selection), then type some
characters, then press Ctrl+Z until the label is empty again. The next
Ctrl+Z kills audacity.

I'm referring to plugins packaged in Ubuntu. They won't install with
only Firefox 3.1 installed, owing to the dependencies not being
fulfilled.
I type firefox to start firefox. For now I've made a symlink; but as
with other programs that come in multiple versions, an alternative would
be nice so
