Doesn't recognize hashtags with umlauts

Hello,
Gwibber is unable to detect #hashtags with umlauts in them (and probably
other non-ascii chars).
To reproduce:
Search for #nürnberg with the integrated search. The hashtag in the
results is recognized as "#n" instead of "#nürnberg"
Prob
Problem is fixed, somehow the synce-sync-engine package was uninstalled
while upgrading to Jaunty. This caused the error.

After upgrading to Ubuntu 9.04 I tried to sync my T-Mobile MDA Vario IV
with Evolution. But after starting, msynctool just hangs and does
nothing. I get the following error:
