check-symbols could go to devscripts, I guess. It needs to not use nm,
as stated in LP: #184906
pull-debian-source may be useful in Debian, but I tihnk it would need to work
without launchpad.

Eep, this has been in -proposed for > 3 months.
Also, I just found the same bug in test-building in backportpackage in trunk.
Anyway, as to the SRU verification, it works for me.
