I can confirm that the version of ubuntu-vm-builder in hardy-updates,
0.4-0ubuntu0.1, doesn't handle the situation where /tmp is mounted
nodev, nosuid, and that the version in hardy-proposed, 0.4-0ubuntu0.4,
with the new "--in-place" option is able to build a vm with /tmp so
mounted.
(As an aside,
I don't have easy access to a non x86/x86-64 platform that is supported
by ubuntu-vm-builder (essentially, hardy on lpia); however, I have
confirmed that the version of ubuntu-vm-builder in proposed,
0.4-0ubuntu0.4, correctly detects the host architecture for i386 and
amd64 systems, so there's no s
I have reproduced the problem of the --net option not being honored in
non-class C networks in the version of ubuntu-vm-builder in hardy-
updates, 0.4-0ubuntu0.1, and can confirm that the version in hardy-
proposed, 0.4-0ubuntu0.4, fixes the issue.

I can confirm that the 'letters' variable is not properly initialized in
all situations in the version of ubuntu-vm-builder in hardy-updates,
0.4-0ubuntu0.1, and has been fixed in the version in hardy-proposed,
0.4-0ubuntu0.4. This can be demonstrated by looking at the generated

I have verified that the version of ubuntu-vm-builder in hardy-updates,
0.4-0ubuntu0.1, does not pass along the ubuntu archive gpg keyring to
its invocation of debootstrap, and that the version in hardy-proposed,
0.4-0ubuntu0.4, fixes this issue.

I have confirmed that the version in hardy-proposed, 0.4-0ubuntu0.4,
fixes the issue with the verbose arguments that was present in the
version in hardy-updates, 0.4-0ubuntu0.1, though with it working
properly, it results in a marginal number of additional information
reported. Marking verification
