suggests, though it is only a guess, that you ran out of space, or the
pipe to which the unpack was writing collapsed; why else would the

Adobe Flash player is now playing audio correctly. Noticed this on 10
July 2009. I've received many updates over the past two weeks, so I'm
not sure which did the trick. However, I thought I'd note it here for
those who were having problems.

Linux tam 2.6.28-13-generic #45-Ubuntu
This bug has been fixed for me. I'm not sure when or what fixed it.
I've changed nothing other applying updates as they became available.
There was an upgrade to openjdk and icedtea yesterday. I've attached my
dpkg.log file in case it helps.

My guess is that you'll suffer this problem with any Python application
that uses Gtk+. Is this true? If so, it's a bug in the way Python or
PyGtk handles the library path.

Thanks for posting this bug report, and especially the list of symbolic
links you created. I had a very similar issue (but I tried so many
things, it's hard to give a clear description of what I did), and
creating the links fixed it.

Adobe flash plugin missing symlinks to work
can see when using Audacity, that does not directly
support PulseAudio. I'm slowly writing a back-end for this case[1],
but my time has many pressures on it, and so slowly means
less-than-Debian-paced.

Alan, I don't think that Jean-Baptiste's steps will work (although it
won't hurt to try). The advice given at bug #299427 (which is, by the
way, where comments are supposed to go now) helped me.

Not Update Manager, but Synaptic Package Manager, sorry. Also sorry
about the poor title; the operating system's never asked to make an
automatic report before.
Now whenever I use aptitude, it keeps trying to reconfigure ttf-
mathematica4.1 afterwards, which is rather annoying. I can't seem to
Hardy still has 2.2.3, what are the plans for incorporating 3.0. As far
as I know the API is the same so there should be minimal effect of the
upgrade.
