Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gcc-avr
gcc-avr in Ubuntu 8.10 is version 4.3.0, which has some serious bugs
which have been fixed by version 4.3.2 which is available in Jaunty's
repos.
So I tried installing Jaunty's version on 8.10, but synaptic complains :
gcc-avr:
I don't know, I don't use Zapping anymore (gave up on it).
If nobody else cares about it, might as well close the bug ?

I just tested it on Feisty. Yes, it still crashes/quits as soon as I click on
Edit-Preferences, or Edit-Channels
I started from the command line, and when the crash occurs, it prints a
critical Warning, hope that helps:

*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 39845 ***
No it isn't, please un-mark it, it's not a duplicate ! :-O
My bug is about slow channel switching, not crashes...
However the crash I am experiencing indeed looks like that other bug you
found, so I subscribed to it. Thanks for the link.

Thanks for upstream, and for the screenshot !
I did do one back then, but it was a web link (Malone didn't have the
attachement feature back then!), and the link was broken (I deleted the pic
from my server, since there was no activity on that bug for so long).

Hi Daniel,
I don't know, because I have changed video card, I now have an ATI Radeon 9250,
and full screen mode doesn't work (picture fails to stretch to fill the
screen), whether I use the 'ati' or 'radeon' driver.
So I must first try to get full screen mode to work before I can see whether

Comment:
Hi,
Yes, it works in Dapper, bug closed :o)
I have just had a look at the project's website, it seems that Tilp
version 2 is now well underway, would be cool to have it in Dapper ! :o)
