Cannot disable screensaver in SMPlayer since last update, too.
First, I had this problem about mouse pointer popping up every 8-10
seconds in fullscreen if 'Disable screensaver' was checked (but
screensaver was disabled), and now the option (set from GUI) doesn't
work at all).
Pretty annoying
This bug affected me also. Changing the 'Output driver' from 'alsa' to
'pulse' solved the issue.
Still, two bugs persist:
1. playback is disabled when sound is muted
2. mouse pointer keeps appearing in fullscreen every 8-10 seconds if 'Disable
screensaver' is checked

going to fullscreen. Once you move it, you need to go off and back on to
fullscreen if you want to stop it popping up every 7-8 seconds.
I was wrong, it still happens. Only unchecking 'Disable screensaver'
stops it, but then, but
Affects me also. Not only that the mouse appears and disappears, but it
also changes location to left and right a bit, so it doesn't help if I
move the mouse to the edge of the screen because it keeps popping up
left/right nevertheless.

I have the same problem: gaphor pulled python 2.4, but by default the
`gaphor' script does not work out of the box. (ImportError: No module
named pkg_resources - pkg-resources is probably not installed for 2.4)
However, python2.5 `which gaphor` works to run gaphor.

Thanks,
