intel driver list compatibility and recomendation for each card? there
are a few drivers that could be working? where can i
any advise to get more information about the crash?

about intel driver crash during install? any original log to look at?
it seems that in the reporter case, it is a different video card, the
problem solved whithout any change ... but the reconfigure test makes me

the crash just happened again, and my logs get similar errors:
Xorg.0.log:(EE) [drm] Could not set DRM device bus ID.

i have a sony vaio laptop, whith an Intel 4500MHD card, and i had the
same problem. I fixed my xorg.conf in the same way as described above.
I just runned the test reconfigure test and the problem is still there
... i get a vesa line on the new xorg.conf.
