thanks there.i tried in dapper Xorg 7 and it is not working not at all shown
in gnome-mouse-properties.so is there any relevence for this package..

and saved.i also installed build-depends and bdftopcf.now i dont know how to
rebuild
oh sorry i ran the command u posted:
update-alternatives --install /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/icons/default/index.theme
x-cursor-theme /etc/X11/cursors/core.theme 30
now i apt-get installed artwiz-cursor:
