I found the Problem... during installation i choosed the german language...
As i restarted the keyboard layout has been changed (dont know why).
My password included a "z" - when i change the occurance of every "z" to "y" it
boots

I just installed Karmic with the following partition layout:
/boot ext4 ~200mb on /dev/sda
lvm as crypted_lvm on /dev/sda
the lvm includes / with ext4 and swap, both encrypted
i didnt change anything, just a fresh install... the same happened
with "it just stops booting" i mean of course the message from
cryptsetup "bad password, options..."

Im on a Asus eee top 1602. My touchscreen works fine(after manually tweaking

I found out something interesting:
The directory
/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/oldxml/_xmlplus/utils
on my box contains the missing boolean.so, so i created a symlink in
/usr/lib/python2.
I believe I have correctly fixed the duplication issue. However I am not
an expert packager, so I am not sure exactly how the side-by-side
installation (wx2.6 and wx2.8) should work, so the control files may
need modification. Also, do the wx2.x-i18n packages really conflict?

I've tried looking around in the python code and found python-xml is broken:
Openerp tries to initialize xml.dom and xml.xpath.
Since both initializations are done in the same try ... catch block, only one
error message is given, but xml.dom loads fine while xml.xpath dies.
