good news for the new year: Debian has accepted RC6!
See http://packages.debian.org/sid/freemind
Who is supposed to create the new bug report as requested by Benjamin?

I unsubscribed ubuntu-universe-sponsors and marked it as invalid. Here
my reason: The bug report is very long. As sponsor it needs a long time
to read through it. To get an updated package two steps are needed.
1. The package from Eric should be uploaded to Debian. I pinged my
Debian sponsor. So
@Evan: the package is not _yet_ in Debian because I'm the maintainer but no
Debian Developer (DD) and my sponsor seems to be a bit under water (he already
accepted the package, and promised to take care of it, but it seems to take a
bit more time than usual).
I can understand that someone is
I don't see any action for ubuntu-universe-sponsors to take. Is there a
particular version of the package that should be uploaded? I see the
packages at http://eric.lavar.de/comp/linux/debian/, but it doesn't
sound like they've been specifically built for Lucid. They should be
built on Lucid,
Evan, what a lame comment!
People have been posting left and right that they rebuilt the packages
in their PPA or elsewhere. If there is no immediately obvious candidate
at the moment that is only because sponsorship has been dragging on so
long without anything ever happening. I'm currently
BTW, the Ubuntu package used to have a delta towards Debian. I don't
have time to look through it right now, but I'd appreciate if one of the
many people interested in this package were to take a quick glance to
make sure there is nothing in there that is still relevant for RC6.

Wow, dude. Chill out. I realize the get it off my radar may be
annoying for the bug that I'm taking off my radar, but that's not the
point. I spent 15 minutes looking at this bug, reading through the
comments, and trying to figure out why u-u-s had been subscribed. When I

Oh, sorry Rolf - I didn't see the mention that you were uploading the
new RC6. I'm taking a look at that now.
Uh, first off, since this is a merge, not a sync, you should leave the
old Ubuntu-specific changelog entries in the changelog, interleaved with
the Debian changelog. (i.e. in sorted

@Radek: thanks for the feedback.
Here for the resolution:
The problem was with libjibx-java being version 1.1.x under Ubuntu J, K

Eric L., I tried to upgrade on Karmic 64bit, and also 32bit, firstly I need to
change the source row to:

I tried to find the key I can import for your repository, do you have

Hello,
FreeMind 0.9.0_RC6 has been (properly) packaged and can be pulled from:

performance to the Windows version. A couple of areas where it could be

Just letting people know that I've found packages for Freemind in the
following PPAs:
https://edge.launchpad.net/~khashayar/+archive/builder/+packages (latest is
0.9.0-rc4)
https://edge.launchpad.net/~igorgomes/+archive/ppa/+packages (latest is
0.9.0-rc6)
I've tried the approval, but the requirements are a huge barrier. There are
many jars inside the original Freemind and they need to be packaged
separately. This is too hard because demands research, guessing etc...
The latest version is on my ppa. Fell free to use it.
Best,
Igor Gomes
