I don't know if the symbolic link mentioned in the above comments is
still necessary or not, but on the assumption you've checked and/or
tried that, does mythfrontend's startup log
(/var/log/mythtv/mythfrontend.log) show any related errors?

Well zonemonder does not work with either Creative Webcam LIVE! nor
Logitech Webcam, both usb. Cheese works perfectly with both cameras. But
it appears mythzoneminder or mythzmserver does start but, renders no
picture because zoneminder is not working for me with these two cameras.
