enough hard space to install Karmic alpha2. Is it possible to test it

Things have indeed improved in Karmic Alpha 2: in the (default) mirror
configuration the S-video output works perfectly.
Trying to turn mirroring off (which adds Virtual entry in xorg.conf)
breaks things, though - no login window appears at all. X does start
though, mouse moves, but other than
Tapani, please check recent comments on bug 363783; he seems to be
having a similar experience and I wonder if the two of you are having
the same bug. Also, you should attach a fresh Xorg.0.log from after
reproducing the problem.

Further observations: both VGA and TV1 can be used alone, disabling the other,
but together
they work only in mirrored mode.
The resolutions offered for the VGA output are rather limited: only 640x480,
800x600, 1024x768, 1152x864 and 1360x768 - the monitor's native 1280x1024 is

cable (old one with one pin missing): with new cable it comes up

same problem here. I tested again with jaunty live cd, and no luck for me. The
TV is a PAL CRT , and there is no way to get it to work (just a black and white
flickering)
