Yes. We are working a few wrinkles out of the 0.95.1 packages in Jaunty
first. Once we have a solid 0.95.1 package, the focus will shift to
backports.

Generally library backports are not allowed. For libclamav (and all of
clamav) we are rather more liberal, but the reverse dependencies need
testing. That's the point of the PPA.
It looks like avscan is unsalvageable, since upstream has vanished.
The others will need testing.

I see that Intrepid and Jaunty both have 0.94.2 in their repositories,
and Hardy has it in the ClamAV PPA (https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-
clamav/+archive). Thank you.
Is there any reason why we cannot have the latter put into the Hardy
Backports repository? What is the policy in the case
