I can confirm this (the missing vbox.cfg on intrepid). I got into this situation after installing the proprietary version of virtualbox (which removes virtualbox-ose). After some time i decided to move back to virtualbox-ose and suddenly couldnt start VirtualBox anymore :D I think the virtualbox

The modules should be available for amd64, too. But AFAIK they are not in sync currently on Hardy. See bug 303199. I tend to mark the bug as invalid, or rather as duplicate of the "modules should get installed automatically" bug. "Could not find VirtualBox installation. Please reinstall." is anot
