Deleted .vlc
I have still similiar
after command (this is from a intrepid server meant to rebroadcast a set
top box tv stream across the internet):
usr/bin/vlc -I http --extraintf=logger http://192.168.0.102:31344
does removing your ~/.vlc folder help here?

This also affects me. I was using vlc with mediamvp to stream video and
audio on Kubuntu Hardy. Now with Intrepid, it doesn't work.
The most visible error is:
inhibit error: Failed to connect to the D-Bus session daemon: Did not receive a
reply. Possible causes include: the remote application
Hi, is this still a problem in Intrepid up-to-date?
Does a reinstall of vlc resolve this?
If not, could you run vlc -v2 in a maximized terminal, reproduce,
copy-paste the output into a text file and attach to this report?
