This has been fixed in Debian (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-
bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=517145), and the fixed packages are now a part of
the development version of Kubuntu 9.10.

At this point, it isn't worth the hassle. I'll stick with Microsoft
Money until installation of a fully functional KMyMoney is more
straightforward.
Thanks for your assistance but, as a Linux novice, it's more than I want
spend time on right now.

For OFX, that includes OpenSP and some others.

Thanks for your help, Hei.
I'm currently looking into this (by using --enable-ofxbanking
--enable-ofxplugin), but the build fails as follows:
make[8]: *** No rule to make target `kmm_ofximport.rc', needed by `all-am'.
Stop.
make[8]: Leaving directory
`/tmp/buildd/kmymoney2-0.9.2/obj-i486-linux
It does not fix the problem because the main package has been built
without that support. For OFX to work, it should be built with the
--enable-ofx flag and the libofx and lib-osp packages should be
required.
