. In 8.10 I had this problem with Firefox only and it disappear after
upgrading xserver. I upgraded from 8.10 to 9.04 and all applications
are affected and this is annoying :(. Please consider it as a bug

Well, I think this is a bug.
Novice users don't even know about expose.
Expose is more of a work-around for this issue.
A novice users who resizes it, have no clue what to do, and would get
very frustrated.
This usability issue needs to be solved.
