Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gcc-avr
gcc-avr in Ubuntu 8.10 is version 4.3.0, which has some serious bugs which have been fixed by version 4.3.2 which is available in Jaunty's repos. So I tried installing Jaunty's version on 8.10, but synaptic complains : **************** gcc-avr: Depends: libc6 (>=2.8) but 2.8~20080505-0ubuntu7 is to be installed *************** It requires libc6 version 2.8 or greater, but according to that very same error message, Jaunty DOES come with 2.8, so I don't understand why it's complaining ?! grrr... ** Affects: gcc-avr (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- fails to install https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/318010 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs -- universe-bugs mailing list universe-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/universe-bugs
