I can confirm this bug as well. Upon launching alarm-clock cpu usage spikes to 100%, time stops, the system monitors on the bottom pane stop scrolling. Once clicking in the actual window it doesn't let interact with anything on the screen via mouse. Able to switch to a virtual terminal, but if you

Confirming bug. I have Jaunty Jackalope running fine. When I launch Alarm Clock, everything is still working. It's when I try to do anything with alarm clock that it immediately freezes Gnome (the other terminals still work), and I have to restart Ubuntu. -- 9.04 alarm clock locks up computer.

Confirming bug. I didn't upgrade, but rather re-installed through the alternate cd. I have two separate partitions being mounted, one for / and one for /home directories, so it could be an issue with a config file from previous versions that Jaunty doesn't like. -- 9.04 alarm clock locks up
