I've unfortunately come to the conclusion that there is just too much diversion between Hardy Jaunty in respect to GTK and similar dependencies. It is not wise to attempt to update the main core versions as it will no doubt break your ubuntu. I realise that Hardy is a LTS but in this case it just

Hi Scott, thank you for your fast reply. I too assume that the reason ist a package that has recently been updated and maybe now have broken the functionality of Me TV Version: 0.5.17 in Hardy Heron. I would be very happy about the possibility of a backported version to Hardy. :-) Let me know
