I tried a backport of the Karmic kernel to Jaunty with the patch listed in that bug + the latest xorg-edgers packages and I still have the same issue with compiz freezing. I am unable to switch over to the Karmic install at this time, but the symptoms and general system response is the same on my

I have exactly the same problem. Sometimes I get the bug 237339, sometimes this one and sometimes the laptop resumes correctly (not often). So it might be that the two bugs are related. Note that I attached the requested files to the bug 237339. I will send the requested files if bug 421736 occu
