I added the CRAN repository by appending the following line: deb http://lib.stat.cmu.edu/R/CRAN/bin/linux/ubuntu jaunty/ to /etc/apt/sources.list After "sudo aptitude update" and "sudo aptitude safe-upgrade" a new, working copy of rkward was installed. Problem solved. -- rkward crashes on lau
