/etc/default/grub is not particularly accessible to inexperienced users, either. I think it's more likely that this will be solved by the development of something with a proper user interface capable of working with grub2, and its developers working with us to determine exactly what they need. In

Well, I dont see to my mum doing a script for change the menuentry. This should be provide for default or with easy way for medium-users. If the user needs create a custom script for change a simple title, the user dont get a good experience with Ubuntu. -- Grub2 don't provide a option for rename
