Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
Due to Intel graphics cards performance issues in Jaunty (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Troubleshooting/IntelPerformance), a commonly used workaround was to revert driver version to 2.4 and hold it. The problem is that if you upgrade to Karmic, holded driver is not upgraded, and software rasterizer is used as renderer. I think this package should be automatically unholded and upgraded. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Holded 2.4 version prevents graphics driver upgrading https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/473949 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs -- universe-bugs mailing list universe-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/universe-bugs
