Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
I am another user running the Intel 965GM chipset, experiencing random X crashes. This is the most predictable way I can get it to crash: edit audio in Audacity, and resize, drag, or do something which makes a large screen update. Attached is the gdb backtrace; there was nothing at all in the Xorg log after the crash, even with driver debugging on, except for the normal stuff which occurs on a restart. If you want that, I will make it happen again, and then post it. This is for Ubuntu 8.10, Intrepid Ibex, driver version 2.4.1-1ubuntu10.4. I have tried various levels, but have had random crashes since version 2.2.0 of the driver (in Hardy) ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 8.10 Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.4.1-1ubuntu10.4 ProcEnviron: PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersion: Linux version 2.6.22-16-generic (bui...@rothera) (gcc version 4.1.3 20070929 (prerelease) (Ubuntu 4.1.2-16ubuntu2)) #1 SMP Mon Jan 26 00:07:52 GMT 2009 SourcePackage: xserver-xorg-video-intel Uname: Linux 2.6.22-16-generic i686 xkbcomp: ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug -- X server crash during Audacity edit https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/478052 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs -- universe-bugs mailing list universe-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/universe-bugs
