Public bug reported: Binary package hint: dolphin
stumbled upon this bug while cleaning up my disk: open dolphin and activate the terminal/console (F4) dir to some directory, eg /home/user/downloads/some-directory in the console type "rm -rf *" to delete all files in "some-directory" now - if you start to browse other directories in dolphin (eg /home/user/downloads) while "rm -rf *" is still running dolphin will switch the context of the console to the directory you browsed to and start to delete all files in the folder /home/user/downloads. If you change one directory up, it will start to remove all files in /home/user !!!!! one would suspect that dolphin will execute "rm -rf *" in /home/user/downloads/some-directory before switching to another directory. running jaunty KDE 4.2.4 - dolphin Version 1.2.1 (4:4.2.4-0ubuntu1~jaunty1~ppa2) ** Affects: dolphin (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- dolphin folder change changes console context while executing commands https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/478640 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs -- universe-bugs mailing list universe-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/universe-bugs
