Fabrice, I heard that lucid will support only python 2.6. Changes what
you point at previously comment are about python 2.5. So I think that
these aren't important.

Correct, lucid will only support python2.6 - that means that the Debian
package, which calls python2.5 explicitly, *must* be patched to be
buildable and usable in lucid.
So I'm marking this bug as invalid, since the package must not be synced
