Oh, I am sorry. I thought it was not necessary because the bug was
initial filed before Feature Freeze.
Well, the benefits are:

- Major improvements to Xcos. Have a look at details
I also tested the new version and it works.
It also updates fine from the version currently in the lucid universe
repository.
So I see no reason for not including it
