I don't see how this can happen as the postinst first checks whether
that file exists and if it does not it symlinks it

What I did was deleting the /etc/phpmysql folder and run apt-get install
phpmyadmin.
After this I tried to run apt-get remove phpmyadmin and delete the file
mentioned the the error, but I got the same problem when installing
phpmyadmin again. The remove script run OK though.
