Public bug reported: Binary package hint: python-qt3
If I try to install package python-qt3, I get a unmet dependencies problem. I know I'm using a PPA repository and that it is not guaranteed to work as the stable version, nonetheless I wanted to report this here. Maybe the solution is not very complicated and can be fixed before the 10.04 release. Below I send the results of related commands at the terminal. I will also attach my sources.list. $ sudo apt-get install python-qt3 Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: python-qt3: Depends: python-sip4 (<= 4.10) but 4.10.0-0ubuntu1~karmic1~ppa1 is to be installed E: Broken packages $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 9.10 Release: 9.10 $ apt-cache policy python-qt3 python-qt3: Installed: (none) Candidate: 3.18.1-1ubuntu1 Version table: 3.18.1-1ubuntu1 0 500 http://it.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages $ apt-cache policy python-sip4 python-sip4: Installed: 4.10.0-0ubuntu1~karmic1~ppa1 Candidate: 4.10.0-0ubuntu1~karmic1~ppa1 Version table: *** 4.10.0-0ubuntu1~karmic1~ppa1 0 500 http://ppa.launchpad.net karmic/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 4.9.1-snapshot-20091015-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://it.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages ** Affects: python-qt3 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Can't install python-qt3 with ppa:kubuntu-ppa/beta in the sources list for APT https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/519751 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs -- universe-bugs mailing list universe-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/universe-bugs
