I have reviewed the source for muse-0.7.3pre4 available from the
OpenSUSE archives, and cannot find any differences that would explain
this behaviour.
My experience is as follows. Please tell me if your differs, or if you
believe me to have replicated the bug:
1) Open Muse (new song)
No aud
I have a similar problem output audio connects but no input audio. Same
distro ubuntu 5.10

The channels are automatically connected for me in AMD64 with muse
muse_0.7.1+0.7.2pre5-1ubuntu1 (+ the RTC patch I need to run under
AMD64).
