I don't recall the exact wording of the warning, but I guess it should
probably be enough. If it isn't that could be treated as a separate
issue. I consider this ticket dealt with now that it doesn't simply
crash but gives out a meaningful error.

What kind of access did you grant ubuntu-dev-tools through the LP API
(does it have write-access to private data)? Did you get any warnings
that the script doesn't have enough permissions?
