I think this is probably safe to close now. Running gst-blox (the gnu-
smalltalk GUI) on my amd64 edgy box works fine. I had a quick scan of
the powerpc build log too and i didnt see any blox errors.

Rebuilding the development libraries eliminates the problematic TK_XINCLUDES
setting and builds the packages (at least on Debian sid)
Please note that the maintainer of gnu-smalltalk in Debian has far more recent
packages for gnu-smalltalk that have not been uploaded by a 'sponsor'.
