I have some trouble with miro and xine engine rendering. 9 times on 10,
sound is cracking, and nothing can be heard. If I switch to gstreamer -
using gstreamer-0.10-ffmpeg, it works.
So it may be a bug in libxine1 ?!

To answer to your questions.
1) I used sudo aptitude update and then sudo aptitude safe-upgrade.
Brasero and libbrasero were not upgraded.
2) I expected an upgrade.
3) I encountered a conflict with nautilus-cd-burner. I removed it, and
then installed using dpkg brasero and libbrasero.

When I tried to install it by hand, I got a conflict error message

I have to grad python-compiz package from compiz PPA. Looks like it is
an incomplete upgrade of compiz package. After I verified all installed
compiz packages were 0.8.2-something, all worked flawlessly.
Bad luck bug ?

I was just saying upgrading to 1.4.22 version from getdeb.net was fixing
the bug. I'm using Ubuntu since Dapper, and getdeb since Gutsy, without
any problems. So...
