Please note also that this conflict appears on the initial installation of ubuntu (in my case, using the alternate install CD on a ps3). Proposed debdiff looks good (thanks Philippe), two conflicting packages in the same meta package are obviously wrong. -- Cannot install version

To answer to your questions. 1) I used sudo aptitude update and then sudo aptitude safe-upgrade. Brasero and libbrasero were not upgraded. 2) I expected an upgrade. 3) I encountered a conflict with nautilus-cd-burner. I removed it, and then installed using dpkg brasero and libbrasero. --
