What format are the files?
Also, what do you mean by "red arrow" and "embedded player"? Are you
using a skin other than default?

I have the SlimServer up and running on Ubuntu, but I can't get any of
the music to work. If I browse my music by album and click the little
red play arrow next to a song, nothing happens. If I press the play
button on the embedded player, it acts like it is playing but no sound
comes out and the

Is there another means you could transfer the file. I'd like to give

Right you are! I'll give it a try - thanks for the tip on -n, that's
helpful. And on second thought, I'm not positive that drive is FAT32 -
I was thinking of a different drive.
