I've never heard of MB based RAID being a solution if you are serious
about reliability. When I want real RAID, I get a hardware RAID
controller. They are not that
Boards I now avoid as a result of bad experiences:
- MSI (raid chipset failure, poorly implemented SATA/PATA support)
- Abit (seem to release buggy boards that aren't always taken care of
through BIOS updates)
- Intel (D975XBX is the worst board I've ever owned, terrible PCI-e
support and the BIOS
I had a bad experience with an Asus P4 m/b using an SiS chipset.
Whenever the RAID was trying to rebuild itself, i.e. loads of disk I/O,
the kernel would just panic due to hardware interrupt errors. I tried
loads of kernel parameters like "noapic", "nolapic" etc. but still kept

That's strange, try one of the squeezebox reset tricks.
Either the factory reset, or the Program Xilinx could help.

perl modules a link to that dir is needed in th
While reviewing my Slimserver settings I noticed something really weird:
my playlist and music folder were swapped!! I need more sleep... ;-)

amplifiers. After Slim server (v6.5.1) installation on the Buffalo Link
Station/Debian), the digital volume control could be only adjusted in
steps (1-10, 11-22, 23-35, ... ). The volume control display is working
correctly.
