I have it working under FC9, though I haven't tested everything. SC 7.1
installs easier but its still a mess getting it to use the right CPAN
modules. If anyone wants to download a 33 MB tar and you can point me
to a public repository I could upload my perl and squeezecenter
directories :).

I just tried using the patch from bug report 6987, but it didn't work.
I also manually installed all the modules listed in the
build-perl-modules.pl script, but now all I see is:
Starting SqueezeCenter: Log4perl: Seems like no initialization
happened. Forgot
to call init()?
Use of uninitialized
There's some discussion in bug 6987. I haven't spent much time looking
at it, but I haven't gotten it to work yet on F9. At least one person
claims to have it working but couldn't provide details on how.
Regarding Mandriva, since they use non-threaded perl, you have to build
the perl modules
I second the request. Just upgraded to Mandriva 2008.1 and I'm now
running Perl 5.10.0.
Will there be a fix to get SqueezeCenter to run with Perl 5.10.0??

Thanks all.
I've just added my first section (Ubuntu (Gutsy)) to the DebianPackage
wiki. Hoping that this will help some other users.

Note that if you want to use a password and have an SBC in your setup
you should be running the latest build of 7.0.1:
