You'll have to mount the share, not link it. See smbmount for details (or
read up on NFS in unRAID does support it).

I'm having a hard time linking these two servers. I just created a
trial of Unraid and so far it's exactly what I was expecting which is
great. The last thing I need to do to migrate is point squeezecenter
at the Unraid setup. I know I need to symlink but this command isn't
doing it:

So this is how I am tracking the install issues. Eventually we will
figure it out. Sorry this is such a pain.

Thanks for all the ideas. My original sources.list had slimdevices at
the top and didn't work. Tried it again just to make sure, no go. I
tried to install mysql 5.0 per the suggestion - here is the output..
Seems to keep wanting only the dev versions...
sudo apt-get install mysql-server-5.0 m
You don't need to migrate the mysql database at all. It is just a cache
of the tag data.
You do probably want to copy your server config file. All you should
need to do is copy the server.prefs from /var/lib/squeezecenter/prefs/

Uhh, last I looked order doesn't matter when it comes to what version is
used. Largest always wins.
According to the sources.list man page, order does matter when it comes
to duplicates of the same version.

Once you move it, you need to refresh/reload the repositories.
With Synaptic, there is a button. Or from a root shell just do
apt-get update

Never mind - had to actually go to the slimp3 and do configuration via
the remote to change the ip address of the slimserver - it was looking
for it at the old ip address.
Thanks!

Got it - firewall issue combined with having to reset the slimp3 config
via the remote.
Works - how cool is this.

I have a fresh install from the latest ISO. After the install I did an
apt-get update/upgrade. Once complete, I installed webmin via apt-get.
Finally, I added squeezecenter to the sources list as per the debian

I want to migrate my SC from the old machine to the NAS. Any wiki or
