Why do you need to connect to the internet? If you're playing local
content no external connection is needed.

No firewall, squeezebox or computer issue...
Just the f***ing network. When I set up a little ad hoc network, it
works verry good, but I can't connect to the internet.
I'll have to find a fix.

Optware squeezecenter has been upgraded to 7.3.1.
After ipkg upgrade, if you have made the change to disable transaction
code, you'll need to do it again. I'll consider adding a patch file in
a future release.

yep. I run SC+gentoo on mine with no problems (don't transcode

It sounds like firewall troubles to me. Have you tried disabling the
firewall on Ubuntu? Ubuntu doesn't really need a firewall if you're
behind a NAT router. It doesn't leave anything open to the network by
default.
Could you give us more details about the firewall rules you're trying
to use?
My squeezeBox classic doesn't connect to SqueezeCenter when i try to
configure. it connects to my WiFi Network, then it gets a good Ip in
DHCP mode, and then, nothing. It just says "connecting to Slim Server",
and shows a black scree.
