Re #11: Absolutely. I've got SqueezeCenter running on a 400MHz Pentium
III with 384MB of RAM, some ancient video card, etc, and 850GB or so of
cheap storage. The same box is my web server, mail server, print server,
and general file server.
As for worries about drivers, as I said before, drivers
Just one kind of thought. If Linux doesn't work easily with ATI video
cards, and if WMA this or that won't play properly, or at all, on
Linux, then we should ask: Whose fault is that? Is it the fault of the
Linux developers? Or is it the fault of the manufacturers? The answer

I vote for Vortexbox. I installed it on an Intel Atom 330 with 2gb ram
and it was so easy to configure.
The automatic CD ripping feature is huge for me too.

I've got a weird issue going on with my ubuntu 8.04 machine.
it is upgraded from 7.1 which is a bit flaky in some regards.
It is like this I was running SqueezePlay trough Gnu Debugger ( gdb )
to help with another bug.
But i could not help to notice that it seams that SP on my PC sets all
audio

After reading syburgh's post in this thread I think I have finally
almost got WOL from a S3 suspend working on my Ubuntu 8.10 machine. The
missing piece for me was unloading the network adapter driver.
I have a Realtek 8139 network adapter (driver 8139too) so I edited my
/etc/pm/config.d/00s
