mwaha - nah I'm the one who's ancient not the OS so my line of
progression took me up through BSD to Solaris as it's 'feel' is more in
line with what I grew up with (wrote my first code in Cobol in 1973 !)

I upgraded from 8.10 to 9.04. After the reboot, I had some problems
with internal drives not being mounted properly, so that messed up my
network shares. After making changes in /etc/fstab and
/etc/samba/smb.conf all was well.

I installed 9.04 from scratch as I prefer and squeezecenter from the
testing deb seems to be running fine.
