It has happened with me to, upon restarting, with 7.4. I have no idea
why.
Try to stop and then start squeezeboxserver again.
sudo /etc/init.d/squeezeboxserver stop
and
sudo /etc/init.d/squeezeboxserver start
I am curious to find out what you see (I see a strange message) and
whether ti fixe
My Ubuntu SBS 7.4 install now regularly drops the library - SN stays on.
Very annoying. Guess it also explains some of the scanning issues people
see, or the inability of the web browser to start up. Stopping and
starting the application seems to fix it. But VERY annoying.

I made mention of this in the Squeezecenter forum under a linux question
but thought it might be more appropriate to ask again in this forum.
Tried upgrading to 7.4 on Ubuntu 6.06 using the package manager. It
removed SC and installed SBS. It appeared to work initially asking for
the SN usernam
Yeah, that was my thought as well. Probably just an oversight, I'm
sure. Hopefully they can get it corrected!

Once they updated unstable to 7.5.0, it looked like a fumble, not a
delay.

As of now, I see:

unstable Version: 7.5.0~28723
AFAIK, 7.3.4 is defunct. The next bug fix is 7.4.1, so that should be
testing.
Please fix or clarify.

Removing the 7.3 package from the packaging system is indeed weird,
especially considering how many people seem to have problems with 7.4
(mine segfaults on startup...).
Fortunately the package itself is still available, if not via apt:

I upgraded to 7.4 and my iTunes integration no longer works (it scans
the library but does not find the songs). I'm running squeezeboxcenter
on Ubuntu 8.04 (hardy). My music files, iTunes library xml, etc. are
stored on Ubuntu, and I have a mapped shared folder for iTunes running
in Windows

I see the testing tree still hasn't been updated to include
squeezeboxserver. Any particular reason why? More curious than
anything else...
