What does "sudo ethtool eth0" says about wake on lan capability (before
and after suspend) ?
What does "cat /proc/acpi/wakeup" return (before and after suspend) ?
Did you try other combinations of s2ram parameters ?
Are you running s2ram via pm-suspend or another set of scripts ?

I'm pretty sure this is just compiling some CPAN modules, not a whole

I'm running the latest Ubuntu beta (more specifically Kubuntu). The
version of MySQL is 5.1 however squeezeboxserver seems to want older
versions of MySQL. I've forced it to install regardless of that and it's
been working flawlessly. My only issue at this point is that I get

Thanks for the replies..
No, I did not compile the modules suggested. "If it ain't broke, don't
fix it". The server is running smoothly and stands without the required
code to build a newer Perl version. So I leave the box as it is, with
perl v5.8.5 and squeezecenter v7.3.4, but if a new perl come

I ended up compiling my own Perl 5.10, as I did at the time of SME 6.x,
when I compiled my own 5.8 :-). But that's not the way to go for
everybody, as I have to tweak the startup scripts :-/.
Upgrading the built in perl to 5.8.9 might be a better solution.

Oh I know, I've been running 7.4 in testing for ages and went through
the exciting name change :) Was just clarifying that no-one
Correct. It did not preserve my preferences, but I encountered no
problems that others are reporting.

It's not an upgrade in the apt/dpkg meaning. Squeezeboxserver is a new
package that conflicts with squeezecenter package. Nothing is preserved.

I have the same problem here with openSUSE 11. I tried several ways of
installing (unistall 7.3 first then install, install without removing
7.3 and so on) but no one works.
My perl Version should be new enough:
Code:
perl -v
This is perl, v5.10.0 built for x86_64-linux
Who has implemented the suspend mode on the Linux box?
What and how you have done in getting this working?
As far as I've found out,
there is no possible to get to this "out of the box"

It works fine, but when I come to the suspend mode it deactivates the
Network adapter as well.

My biggest problem was to find a problem in the filter configuration
