Just to report that the disown routine works really well.
I'm currently listening to a streaming BBC station on my Soundwave
speaker - a nice late-night unobtrusive sound compared to the usual hifi
speakers

using the audio out.
I noticed the output level is very quiet - found a post that says this
is unavoidable. Can anybody recommend a low-cost USB DAC or something to
provide a better level - I'm not worried about high quality as

No probs at all with assigning an IP static address, mounting both an
external USB drive and an internal SATA drive and scanning my Music
Library. It's all

Yup, the DAC carrier board is reliant on the F20 image and it's special
driver

Downloaded R8 last night and ran it up this evening. I'm connecting USB
-> hiFace Two S/PDIF converter. Works perfectly.
Under R7 I had to manually select 32 bit to get teh hiface working
working. R8 detected the correct settings automatically.
