Hi folks.
Got a question.
I'm running squeezelite in local player mode on my CT.
Can I setup a custom-convert.conf that
1. sends PCM to the local squeezelite player by server-based flac to pcm
conversion
2. sends native flacs to the rest of the network clients
Basically I need to have

Just tried your local player plugin.
I'm wondering if it would be possible to add in flexible way my own
binary to the list of binaries.
I usually use my own compiled arm7hf on my CT platform.
Idea: I could copy my own binary into a common local-player plugin
binary folder and you
Hi Squeeze Community,
I have the same problem as Minscof, but my attempts at starting
manually the process didn't work, perhaps as I wasn't quite sure what
that meant. (What I tried was running a script with the same
environment variables and command line as used by the systemd unit file.

Try running the local squeezelite with only pcm decode enabled (or with
flac disabled). I think this will use more cpu on the CT than doing the
decode within squeezelite as lms and flac will be passing the audio
between them before passing to squeezelite over a tcp socket.
Hi all.
Sorry for the trouble, I have been away for a few days.
Hopefully, it is working now.
Please notice that after upgrading from a previous version, it will
automatically reboot. NOTE - you will have to let it fully boot, *and
then do a reboot (or pull the power) and then let it start
Thank you Steen
It works. It looks nicer also.
I'll test it further...

Update worked, seems to be fine. Thanks Steen! I'll test it and see if
I find any bugs.

Online update did work for me.
But a download of the image from sourcforce did not.
Think there is a problem on sourceforce at the moment

Hi
It seems that now (at least after the inclusion of the online update
feature, at least a 128MB sd card is required? Is this true?

I've had a chance to do a quick test on 1.17 and I have a few
observations. As a point of reference, I have 2 Pi model B+'s connected
via ethernet and a model B connected via wifi. All have worked fine on
1.16 (getting the model B+'s to work through the insitu trick using the
model B first). My
After many struggles (to small sd cards, see previous post, 1.17 not
booting completely but stopping, ...) I finally managed to upgrade from
1.15e to 1.15ei. Now I would like to upgrade to omen of the newer
versions, but I am reluctant do do so -
Which versions are stable / recommendable?

Why, you can make an backup and go back if you do not like it

What are the parameters you currently have for Squeezelite?
It's possible that I had messed up some parameters. Now that I did a
clean install of 1.17 it's working perfectly.
CommanderROR and Candlemass, thanks for your helpful suggestions!

First of all: Great Job!

I've come to picoreplayer a few days ago, which seems to be great.
But, it's not working 100% for me :-) Hope, you can help ;-)

I have to retract my previous statement.
Still getting pops on occasion. Again, this is via the HDMI out using a
clean 1.17 install with default settings (nothing changed but output to
HDMI followed by a reboot.)
Hi! The LMS 7.8.1 package for debian unstable from the
debian.slimdevices.com repository fails to run after unstable upgraded

I tried 1.17 with USB WaveIO-I2S-Buffalo II. It works ver well :)
I have to do some more tests, the changes in web gui are very nice and
everything works much faster.
When i am updating in 1.17 to Triodes newest Squeezplay than i am
getting version 1.5, when i am updating to Ralphys newest
@dafiend
I can only suggest the -a settings. They cured the pops for me.

I finally got 1.17 to work. I ended up having to pull the SD card,
re-format and install a fresh image of 1.17. Previously I was stuck at
1.16, and could never web-upgrade to 1.16a or 1.17.
New web GUI looks good, and appears to work/load faster on my iPad Air.
I will give a listen later.
