I've just got a Rapsberrypi B+ and a HifiBerry DAC+, I first tried the analogue out from the RasPi, which worked fine. I then added the HifiBerry DAC+ (the one below) but can't get any output, it shows in LMS and appears to be playing. Can someone help with the Squeezelite settings for this DAC

i'm going to use a raspberry with squeezelite to connect with a Sound Bar in the living room. I can choose to connect raspberry to SB with audio jack or through HDMI. Which connection would give me more sound quality??(hdmi/3.5 jack) Or it would be the same quality?? Thank you. --
